FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College Athletics Department of Athletics and Recreation continued its commitment to academic excellence during the Fall semester, as student-athletes combined for a department-wide term grade point average of 3.15, highlighting a strong culture of success both in competition and in the classroom.
A total of eight Queens College teams earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher, marking the highest number of teams to reach that benchmark in the last five years. The achievement reflects sustained academic growth across the department and reinforces the Knights' emphasis on balancing athletics and academics.
Leading the way was women's tennis, which recorded the highest team GPA at 3.59, followed closely by men's tennis with an impressive 3.52 GPA. Notably, women's tennis also earned the highest GPA among all teams for the third consecutive semester, underscoring the program's consistent academic excellence.
Individually, 134 student-athletes earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher, including 69 student-athletes who achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above.
