The holiday spirit was in full swing yesterday as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) teamed up with the Pomonok Community Center to bring joy to local families through a festive toy giveaway. This heartwarming event, held on December 18th from 4:30 PM to 6 PM, ensured that children in the community experienced the magic of the season.

Throughout December, SAAC rallied support from students, fans, and the campus community, collecting 96 brand-new toys. Donation boxes were set up in Fitzgerald Gym, and basketball game attendees joined the effort by bringing toys to games. The response was incredible, showcasing the true meaning of teamwork—on and off the court.

Yesterday's giveaway at Pomonok Community Center transformed the space into a holiday wonderland. Tables overflowed with colorful toys, games, and sports equipment, ready to brighten the day for countless children. From board games and puzzles to footballs and basketballs, the variety of gifts reflected the generosity of everyone who contributed.

This successful collaboration between SAAC and Pomonok Community Center is a shining example of how small acts of kindness can make a big impact. Thanks to the dedication of student-athletes and the support of the community, families left with smiles and holiday cheer.
