STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Queens College men's and women's track and field teams concluded their indoor season by competing in the East Coast Conference Championship at Ocean Breeze Complex on Sunday.
The women's side placed ninth, while the men's side placed ninth. On the men's side, senior
John Ray earned All-ECC First Team honors, while sophomore
Kadeem Patterson earned All-ECC Second Team honors.
On the women's side sophomore
Carly Koprowski earned All-ECC First Team honors.
Men's Meet Highlights
- Ray recorded a time of 15:54.29 in the 5000m Run to place second and earned All-ECC First Team honors, and just missed out on All-ECC Second Team honors in the 3000m Run with a time of 9:12.14.
- Patterson placed fourth in the 200m Dash with a time of 22.65 to earn All-ECC Second Team honors.
- Junior Justin Eweka notched a new PR in the 200m Dash with a time of 23.77.
- Two Knights recorded a new PR in the 400m Dash as Sophomore Kyle Gault recorded a time of 52.29, while Ezequiel Zapata tallied a time of 52.57.
- Junior Edward Samoleski recorded a PR in the 500m with a time of 1:14.56.
- Freshman Mateo Serringer notched a PR in the 1000m Run with a time of 3:00.88.
- Senior Kyle Daniels recorded a new PR in the One Mile Run with a time of 5:00.11.
Women's Meet Highlights
- Koprowski would blaze her way into All-ECC First Team honors with a time of 2:15.86 as the sophomore broke her career-best time for the fourth time this year.
- Senior Fatima Morrobel recorded a new PR in the 1000m Run with a time of 3:11.03 and just missed earning All-ECC Second Team honors.
- In the One Mile Run junior Rachel Mow recorded a new PR with a time of 5:40.68.
- Sophomore Kierstin Galloway set a new PR in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 10:65.
The Knights will now prepare for the Outdoor Track & Field season. The 2025 schedule will be released in the upcoming days.
