KINGS PARK, N.Y. – Before the East Coast Conference Championship, the Queens College men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park to compete in the St. Joseph's Invitational on Saturday.
 
The women's team finished 5th out of 26 teams, while the men's team placed 4th out of 25.

5K Women's Highlights

• Senior Rachel Mow led the Knights as she placed first with a time of 20:47.2.  
• Sophomore Keira Whitaker followed with a 23^rd finish with a time of 23:28.7.
• Senior Brianna Call placed 33^rd with a time of 24:14.1.
• Senior Maria Flores crossed the line in 25:52.1.
• Senior Jennifer Salazar recorded a time of 26:37.1 while freshman Kezia Hamilton completed the scoring with a time of 28:30.5.

8K Men's Highlights

• Junior Daniel DeGregori led the men's squad with a seventh-place finish as he recorded a time of 28:45.5.
• Rookie Nathanael Hansen recorded a time of 30:17.2 to place 16^th.  
• Junior Nickolas Pirovolikos took 21^st with a time of 30:52.6.
• Junior Edward Samoleski earned a time of 32:16.5 to place 34^th.
• Sophomore Mateo Serringer placed 38^th with a time of 32.38.6 while sophomore Robert Palacios took 46^th with a time of 33:12.0 as Queens placed six Knights in the top 50.

NEXT MEET:

The ECC Championship returns to Long Island for the first time since 2019. The Knights will compete again at Sunken Meadow State Park on Saturday, Oct. 25, with the men's race starting at 10:00 a.m. and the women's race at 11:00 a.m.
