COLONIA, N.J. – In the fourth East Coast Conference women's tennis weekly report sheet, three Queens College women's tennis student-athletes were honored. Rookie
Ela Vasic (Novi Sad, Serbia) was named Rookie of the Week, while senior
Regina Ruiz (Mexico City, Mexico) and junior
Sixtine Goubet (Lyon, France) earned a spot on the Honor Roll sheet.
Rookie of the Week
Vasic contributed to the Knights' 7–0 victory with a convincing 6–1, 6–1 singles win at the No. 5 court over Assumption's Marian Aguirre, continuing her strong start to the season.
Honor Roll
Ruiz also went 2–0 on the day. She began by clinching the doubles point for Queens with partner
Kayla Taszymowicz (Brooklyn, N.Y.), earning a 6–4 win on the No. 3 court. Ruiz then wrapped up her afternoon with a 6–2, 6–1 singles victory on the No. 4 court.
Honor Roll
Goubet went 2–0 in Queens' sweep over Assumption on Thursday afternoon. She opened the day with a 6–4 doubles victory on the No. 2 court alongside partner junior
Lilie Bizouerne (La Ciotat, France). Goubet then capped off her afternoon with a dominant 6–1, 6–4 win over Marie Knispel at No. 1 singles, helping the Knights secure their second win of the season.

The Knights will conclude their homestand on Friday, October 24, when they welcome the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds for an East Coast Conference matchup. First serve is set for 12:30 p.m.
