FLUSHING, N.Y. – Following an outstanding showing on the field, the Queens College Knights student-athletes capped off an impressive fall in the classroom with a 3.14 grade point average (GPA).
"Everyone is included in the academic success of our student-athletes," Assistant AD for Compliance Thomas Bashen said. "Special thanks to the coaches who recruit amazing students, athletes, and most importantly, people. We are looking forward to 2025 and the continued success of our athletic department."
The 3.14 GPA is an improvement from the Spring 2024 semester which saw the Knights attain a 3.06 GPA.
A total of six sports
(women's soccer, women's volleyball, women's tennis, women's basketball, softball, and men's tennis) achieved a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher, with women's tennis leading the charge with a department-high 3.61. On the men's side, men's tennis produced a high GPA mark of 3.47.
Overall, a total of 133 student-athletes achieved a 3.0 or higher average, while 59 student-athletes earned a 3.5 or higher.
