FLUSHING, N.Y. – Following a rain-affected Wednesday doubleheader the Queens College softball team gets set for six home games in a row as they welcome two East Coast Conference opponents and one non-conference foe.
The Knights open with an ECC DH on Friday (Apr. 19) afternoon as they conclude their series against the Dolphins of College of Staten Island before hosting a non-conference DH against the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday (Apr. 20) afternoon.
The weekend concludes with an ECC DH against the Lions of Molloy University on Sunday (Apr. 21) afternoon.
Scouting the Knights (11-19 Overall, 5-5 ECC Record)
- Head coach Amy Delmore and the Knights head into Friday's DH with an overall record of 11-19 and 5-5 in conference play.
- The Knights are in third place in the conference standings with an overall record of 5-5 with 10 games left to play.
- Freshman utility Caylea Campbell (Murrieta, CA) leads the way on both sides of the field as the rookie holds a team-high .421 batting average with 21 hits, 11 doubles, three four runs, 12 runs scored, 11 walks to go with 21 RBI.
- In the circle, the rookie has recorded a team-high eight wins in 105.0 innings allowing 127 hits, 54 earned runs, 41 walks, and has struck out 72 batters with an ERA of 3.60.

- The Knights trail the overall series 25-48-1. Last season the Knights went 1-3 against the Lions in ECC play but upset them in the first round of the ECC tournament before the Lions eliminated the Knights to advance to the ECC final
- Queens is looking for their first series victory over the Lions since the 2018 season when the Knights took the series 3-1 with a sweep at home before earning a split in Rockville Centre.
- Chrissie Huhn leads the Lions with a team-high batting average of .435 with 54 hits, eight doubles, two triples, one home run, seven walks, 32 runs scored, and 22 RBI.
- While Alex Burns is batting .375 with 42 hits, nine doubles, two triples, six home runs, 11 walks, 23 runs scored, and 36 RBI.
- In the circle, Sophia Mariottini leads the Lions with 11 wins in 116.2 innings pitched allowing 117 hits, 40 earned runs, 15 walks, and has struck out 84 batters.
