WEST BABYLON, N.Y. – On Monday (Feb. 26) afternoon the East Coast Conference announced Week 2 of the Baseball Weekly Report Sheet, and Queens College baseball rookie right-handed pitcher Peter Nenadich III (Bayside, N.Y.) was awarded Rookie of the Week. While sophomore outfielder Jorsixt Jimenez (Flushing, N.Y.) was awarded a Honor Roll spot.
 

ECC Rookie of the Week - Peter Nenadich III (Bayside, N.Y.) | Freshman | RHP

Nenadich III made his debut in grand style as he was called onto pitch in relief against regionally-ranked #4 Southern New Hampshire in a game scoreless game. The rookie would go on to pitch 4.0 innings allowing four hits, one ER, two walks, and struck out seven batters to earn his first career win.
 
After a shaky start to his outing in the sixth inning, the rookie would settle in as he went on to limit the Penmen to one walk and a hit in the final three innings including two straight clean innings to end the game as Queens earned a 4-1 victory to open the year and defeated SNHU for the first time in program history.

ECC Honor Roll - Jorsixt Jimenez (Flushing, N.Y | Sophomore | Outfielder

Jimenez picked up right where he left off in 2023 as he recorded a four-game hitting streak with one multi-hit game, and two multi-RBI games in the Knights' 4-0 start to the year.
 
Batting .357 over the course of four games, Jimenez recorded five hits, one double, five RBI, two runs scored, and earned two walks to help the Knights start the year with an overall record of 4-0.
