FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the
Division II Conference Commissioner Association (D2 CCA) announced the 2024 All-American teams, and Queens College men's soccer junior forward
Harry Cooke (Market Drayton, England) was named to the First Team.
For the third straight year head coach
Frank Vertullo and his coaching staff have guided a Knight to All-American status
Last year men's soccer alum
Adolfo Martinez Paquet earned D2 CCA All-American Second Team honors, the highest team honors in program history.
Just a season later Cooke who put together one of the best seasons in program history in 2024 would become the first student-athlete to earn First Team honors.
Among the All-American Three Teams, Cooke is one of six student-athletes to represent the East Region and one of two student-athletes to represent the East Coast Conference.
In two seasons in Flushing Cooke has earned All-ECC First Team honors
(2024), Second Team honors
(2023), D2 CCA All-East Region First Team honors
(2024), and now concludes his junior year adding All-American honors to his list of accolades.
The England native who was one of three Knights to start all 18 games with a team-high 1,429 total minutes played would go on to rewrite the single-season program record by notching 23 goals, and seven assists for a total of 53 points.
He would also notch eight game-winning goals. In eight conference games, the junior recorded 14 goals and one assist with five game-winning goals.
In the nation, Cooke is ranked first in game-winning goals, second in total points, and tied for second in total goals.
In the single-season program record book, Cooke has taken sole possession of points, goals, and game-winning goals and is tied for third in assists.
While in the All-Time Career categories, the junior moves into first in game-winning goals, second in points, and goals, and tied for fourth in assists.
In the ECC men's soccer program record book Cooke's single-season performance ranks him fourth in total points, third in goals. While in the Overall Career categories, the junior will enter his senior year two points away from entering the Top 10 in career points, one goal shy of the Top 10 in career goals and six assists shy of entering the Top 10 in career assists.
In another historic season for the men's soccer program, the Knights concluded the 2024 season with an overall record of 11-5-2 and went 7-0-1 in East Coast Conference play. Queens would win their first-ever ECC Regular Season Title in program history and earn the #1 seed to the ECC postseason tournament.
It is the fourth straight season the Knights have posted a winning % of .500 or more and the third straight year Queens has recorded double-digit wins.

The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies, and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
