FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Sunday afternoon freshman
Brianna Davis (Bronx, N.Y.) notched a career-high 22 points to lead the Queens College women's basketball team offense against the visiting Daemen University Wildcats in East Coast Conference action inside Fitzgerald Gymnasium.

Davis opened the scoring for Queens before Daemen went on a 9-2 run as they took a 9-4 lead with 7:25 left in the first quarter.
The Wildcats would continue to keep a lead of five as the rookie Davis led the Knights in scoring early on.
Trailing by five, 15-10 with 4:02 to go, Queens would hold the Wildcats to one field goal and force four turnovers as the Knights went into the second quarter with the game tied at 17-17.
Junior
Khadija Demry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) continued the Knights' run as Queens took a 19-17 lead just 12 seconds into the second quarter.
But a scoreless drought would hurt the Knights as the Wildcats went on a 13-0 run from the 8:21 mark to the 4:41 mark to take a 30-19 lead before a jumper by Davis stopped the scoreless run at the 4:26 mark for Queens.
Davis's jumper would start a 7-2 run for Queens as they cut their deficit down to six, 32-26 before the visitors ended the second quarter on an 8-2 run to take a 12-point lead of 40-28 at halftime.
It was another scoreless run for the Knights as they opened the third quarter missing their first four shots while the Wildcats extended their lead to 17, 45-28 with 6:45 to go.
The Knights would go on a 6-0 run as they cut their deficit down to 11, 45-34 with 4:44 to go in the third but it would be the closest Queens would get within of the Wildcats as they dropped the ECC contest to the final score of 74-52.
Game Highlights
- Davis tallied a game-and-career-high 22 points (10-19 FG) to go with three rebounds, while Demry recorded 10 points (5-11 FG) off the bench.
- Junior Kendra McPeek (Binghamton, N.Y.) notched a career-high 11 rebounds and two blocks on the afternoon.
- The Knights shot 34.9% going 22-63 from the field, while the Wildcats shot 45.3% from the field with a 29-64 field goal performance.
- Queens forced 13 Wildcats turnovers, but the visitors held a 13-12 advantage on points off turnovers.
