FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team returns to East Coast Conference play as the second half of the season gets underway.
The Knights welcome the Saints of D'Youville University to town on Friday (Jan. 27) evening before concluding the two-game homestand against the Wildcats of Daemen University.

- It will be the second meeting of the season and 18th overall with the Knights leading the series 9-8.
- Queens is looking for their first home win over the Wildcats since the 2017-18 season when they earned a 70-60 victory on January 21, 2018.
- The Knights are on an eight-game losing skid to Daemen and are looking for the series split having fallen in the first meeting back on Dec. 4.
Scouting the Knights
- Queens enters the weekend series with an overall record of 5-13 and 3-5 in conference play.
- The Knights are looking to shake off a four-game losing streak.
- Queens is sixth in the conference standings as they begin the second half of conference play.
- In 18 games, Queens is averaging 58.1 points per game on 38.0% shooting, 36.9 rebounds, and 12.2 assists per game.
- Sophomore Chelsea Reeves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) is averaging 13.1 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
- Reeves matched a career-high 33 points in the victory over Roberts Wesleyan in conference play on Dec. 9.
- She has tallied three double-doubles on the season.
- The sophomore has earned ECC Women's Player of the Week honors on two occasions (Jan. 17 (Link) | Dec. 12 (Link) )and a Honor Roll spot on Dec. 19 (Link).
- Reeves has earned two Honorable mentions from the MBWA this season on Dec. 13 (Link), Dec. 20 (Link), and Jan. 17 (Link).
- While junior Khadija Demry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) is averaging 9.1 points per game.
- Demry matched a career-high 24 points against Stonehill (Dec. 29) and team-high 14 points in the victory over Molloy. On Saturday (Jan. 7), the guard added 15 points against Franklin Pierce.
- On Tuesday (Jan. 3), Demry was awarded ECC Player of the week honors. (Link)
Scouting the Saints
- D'Youville enters Flushing with an overall record of 6-9 and 5-3 in conference play.
- The Saints are on a two-game win streak having defeated Roberts and Daemen in their last two games in ECC play.
- D'Youville is 5-3 in conference play and is tied for third in conference play.
- But the Saints are ineligible for postseason play as they are in their last season of transiting to Division II play.
- In 15 games, the Saints are averaging 52.1 points per game on 34.7% shooting, 35.2 rebounds, and 12.5 assists per game.
- Brianne Moxley leads the offense averaging 10.1 points per game.
- Moxley tallied a season-high 21 points on Nov. 12 against Mansfield.
- Anna Jankovic is averaging 9.6 points and 11.0 rebounds per game on the season.
- Jankovic tallied a season-high 22 points on Dec. 19 at Le Moyne.
Scouting the Wildcats
- Daemen are 10-4 and 5-3 in conference play as they visit the New York City area this weekend.
- The Wildcats will face off against Molloy on Friday (Jan. 27) before coming to Queens on Sunday (Jan. 29).
- Currently, Daemen is tied for third in the conference standing.
- In the latest D2SIDA poll, the Wildcats are ranked sixth in the East Region poll. (Link)
- In 14 games, the Wildcats are averaging 62.2 points per game on 39.8% shooting, 36.6 rebounds, and 14.1 assists per game.
- Paige Emborsky leads the offense averaging 12.4 points per game.
- Emborsky tallied a season-high 19 points on Jan. 17 against D'Youville.
- Alahna Paige is averaging 9.2 points per game.
- Paige tallied a season-high 17 points on Nov. 27 against Bloomsburg.

- Head coach Bet Naumovski and the Knights travel to Rockville Centre, N.Y. as they conclude the season series against the Lions of Molloy University on Saturday (Feb. 4) afternoon. Tip-off is set for noon.
