FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's basketball team continues East Coast Conference play as they welcome the Spartans of Saint Thomas Aquinas College to town on Wednesday (Jan. 18) evening.

• It will be the first of two meetings this season with the Knights trailing the series 20-26 with Queens 2-8 in their last 10 matchups. 
• The Knights are on a seven-game losing streak against the Spartans with the last win coming at home on February 11, 2017 during the 2016-17 season.
• At home, Queens holds a 12-12 record against the Spartans. 

Scouting the Knights

• Queens enters the week with an overall record of 5-10 and 3-3 in conference play.
  • They are coming off a 66-55 victory over Staten Island in East Coast Conference play Wednesday evening and a 62-73 loss to the District of Columbia on the road. 
  • The Knights have won three ECC games in a row having defeated Roberts Wesleyan, Molloy, and Staten Island at home.
• In 15 games, Queens is averaging 59.45 points per game on 38.4% shooting, 38.0 rebounds, and 12.4 assists per game. 
• Sophomore Chelsea Reeves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) is averaging 13.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. 
  • Reeves matched a career-high 33 points in the victory over Roberts Wesleyan in conference play on Dec. 9.
  • She has tallied three double-doubles on the season.
  • The sophomore has earned ECC Women's Player of the Week honors on two occasions Jan. 17 (Link) and Dec. 12 (Link) and a Honor Roll spot on Dec. 19 (Link).
  • Reeves has earned three Honorable mentions from the MBWA this season on Dec. 13 (Link), Dec. 20 (Link) and Jan. 17 (Link).
  • In the past four games, Reeves is averaging 18.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game on 51.2% shooting.
• While junior Khadija Demry (Brooklyn, N.Y.) is averaging 9.2 points per game.
  • Demry matched a career-high 24 points against Stonehill (Dec. 29) and team-high 14 points in the victory over Molloy. On Saturday (Jan. 7), the guard added 15 points against Franklin Pierce.
• Freshman Brianna Davis (Bronx, N.Y.) is averaging 9.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game in the past four games. 
  • The guard has added back-to-back double-doubles in conference play as she notched 11 points and 13 rebounds (career-high) against Molloy (Jan. 4).
  • She would follow that up with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the victory over Staten Island on Wednesday (Jan. 11). 
• On Tuesday (Jan. 3), Demry was awarded ECC Player of the week honors. (Link)
  • It is the second time this season a Knight has earned ECC Player of the Week honors with Reeves earning back on Dec. 12. 

Scouting the Spartans

• STAC enters Flushing with a 12-5 overall record and 4-2 in conference play.
  • The Spartans are coming off a 69-54 victory over Pace University Monday afternoon in Pleasantville. 
  • STAC is ranked #9 in the latest D2SIDA poll. (Link)
• In 17 games on the season, they are averaging 67.8 points per game on 39.7% shooting, 42.3 rebounds, and 13.0 assists per game. 
• Erin Leary leads the offense averaging 15.5 points per game.
  • Leary tallied a season-high 26 points on two separate occasions against Staten Island (Dec.3 ) and Jefferson (Jan. 4)
• Sarah Ericson is averaging 13.6 points per game. 
  • Ericson recorded a season-high 21 points against D'Youville on Sunday (Dec. 11)

• Head coach Bet Naumovski and the Knights continue ECC play with a road trip to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. on Saturday (Jan. 21) afternoon as they match up against the Mavericks of Mercy College Tip-off set for noon.
