STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – On Friday (Jan. 13) afternoon, the Queens College men's and women's indoor track & field team saw several Knights set personal records at the Spartan Invitational hosted by East Coast Conference member Saint Thomas Aquinas College at the Ocean Breeze Complex.
Meet Highlights
On the women's side,
Khareena Primus (St. Andrew, Grenada) led the Knights in the women's 200 meters event with a time of 26.62 to place sixth.
While
Bianca Hiltz (Southwick, Mass) placed 24
th in the Women's 400 meters with a time of 1:05.91. Hiltz also placed eighth in the women's triple jump with a distance of 10.38 meters.
It was a personal best for
Ashley Rodriguez Perez (Elmhurst, N.Y.) in the women's 800 meters with a time of 3:23.20.
While
Natalia Cuttler (Islip, N.Y.) earned a PR in the women's 1000 meter event with a time of 3:31.97.
In the women's shot put event,
Zae Jackson (Queens, N.Y.) earned a PR with a throw of 8.94m.
On the men's side,
Albert Wheeler (Mastic, N.Y.) set a personal best of 7.68 in the 60-meter dash. While
Anael Jeune set a PR of 7.71 in the 60-meter event as well.
In 400 meter event,
Daniel Fuzailof (Queens, N.Y.) completed the event with a PR of 53.09.
While
Hakeem Griffiths (Portmore, Jamaica) earned two personal bests as he set himself a PR of 23.51 in the 200-meter event and 6.28m in the long jump event.
Zackaria Sow (Columbus, Ohio) completed the 200-meter event with a PR of 25.60 on the afternoon.
UP NEXT: The Knights will use the week to prepare for Ramapo Opener hosted by Ramapo College on Friday (Jan. 20) morning to be held in The Armory in New York, N.Y. The first event is set to start at 10:00 a.m.
