FLUSHING, N.Y.- The Queens College volleyball team opens East Coast Conference play Saturday morning in Flushing with a matchup against the visiting Wildcats of Daemen College. The Knights are currently on a four-game losing streak as the Wildcats lead the overall series 4-10.

The Knights would suffer their fourth straight sweep against the Wildcats with a 0-3 loss in Flushing. The set scores were 13-25, 10-25, 14-25. Lauren Kehoe led the Knights with six kills and five digs while Genesis Ruiz Soto tallied two kills as the offense committed 14 attacking errors in their downfall.
Scouting Queens College Knights
The knights are on a six-game losing and will look to change their fortune in conference play. Having been held winless in two seasons in ECC Play, Queens will look to open conference action on a high note. Freshman
Christina Franco is leading the offense with 78 kills while having tallied six service aces and 100 digs.
Leila Hadjeb switch to Libero has seen the sophomore making quality plays while leading the team in digs (110) and 11 service aces.
Scouting Daemen College
The Wildcats are 5-5 on the season coming into Saturday's match. Caitlyn Meyer leads the offense with 148 kills as she is averaging 3.70 kills per set. In 10 matches played Meyer has tallied 10 kills or more in nine matches with a season-high 23 kills against Davenport. While Sam Logan and Olivia Alessi have combined for 23 service aces. Defensively the Wildcats are averaging 1.7 blocks per set and are hitting .205 with 12.8 kills per set.
Next Match-up: The Knights will welcome D'Youville College to Flushing in ECC play on Sunday (Sept. 26). First serve is set for noon.
