FLUSHING, N.Y.- After a week break, the Queens College volleyball team returns to action as they compete in the Shippensburg Tri-matcha against host Shippensburg University Raiders and Bentley University Falcons in Shippensburg, PA.
On Saturday morning the Knights open the day with a matchup against the Falcons at 11:30 a.m. The two sides are meeting for the meeting time since the 2012 season, with the Falcons holding an 11-3 series lead. The Knights' last victory came in 2004 when they defeated the Falcons 3-1 in Rhode Island.
Game two will see the Knights face the host Raiders at 1:30 p.m. Both sides are meeting for the first time in 31 years. The last meeting came on October 27, 1989, which saw the Raiders defeat the Knights to the final score of 3-1.

Dee-Ana Mitchell's (Middle Island, N.Y.) return to the lineup has brought energy as she has quickly tallied 27 kills in three matches. On the defensive end, sophomore
Alexis Deodat (Riverview, Fla.) leads the defense with 11 blocks, while assisting in eight.
Scouting Bentley University
The Falcon are 3-5 on the season and are coming off a 3-1 win victory over Shippensburg. Ellie Wheeler leads the offense with 100 kills on the season averaging 3.33 kills per set with six double-double performances. Overall the Falcons are averaging 12.57 kills per set while hitting .164%. Amanda Parker has been lethal on serve with 19 services on the season.
Scouting Shippensburg University
The Raiders are 3-6 on the season and are coming off a 3-1 loss to the Falcons. Rachel Verhoef leads the offense with 102 kills averaging 2.91 kills per set, while Emily Gardner has produced 91 kills on 2.60 kills per set. Oyinda Agbale is averaging 0.91 blocks per set to lead the defense. The Raiders have been swept six times, while two have gone to the fifth set.
Next Match-up: The Knights return home as they open a three-game homestand starting on Tuesday (Sept. 21) as the Panthers of Adelphi University come to Flushing. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m.
