FLUSHING, N.Y. (Oct. 30, 2019) - The Queens College volleyball team hosted one of the best teams in the East Region on Wednesday (Oct. 30) as Georgian Court traveled from Lakewood, N.J. to Fitzgerald Gymnasium for a non-conference match-up in Flushing. The visiting Lions improved their record to 22-5 on the season by taking down the Knights in three sets with scores of 25-17, 25-12 and 25-10.
Queens fell to 2-15 on the season and finished non-conference play with a 2-9 record on the 2019 campaign.
Knights That Shined
- Junior setter Alisha Matthews dished out twelve assists, pushing her over the 500-assist plateau for her career. Matthews now has 507 career assists through three seasons of playing.
- Senior Lauren Kehoe posted a team-high six kills and played all over the front row for the Knights while also leading Queens with four digs on the evening.
- Alexis Deodat continued a strong freshman campaign with three kills and three total blocks in the match.
