FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Queens College men's tennis team moved to 2-0 in East Coast Conference action with an 8-1 victory over Roberts Wesleyan Saturday afternoon at the QC Tennis Center.  It also marked the Knights' seventh straight victory.

The Knights swept the doubles competition, headlined by junior Ryan Frankel and sophomore Federico Toscano's 8-2 win in 3rd doubles.  In 1st doubles, junior Sharvill Nawghre and sophomore Roman Laga won 8-3, while sophomore Gabriel Mendez and sophomore Lucas Martinez won 8-4 in 2nd doubles.

Martinez (3rd singles) and freshman Camilo Arias (5th singles) both came out on the winning end of long three set matches.  Martinez came away with a 3-6, 7-6, 10-5 win, while Arias won 4-6, 6-4, 10-4.  In 2nd singles, Gabriel Mendez picked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory while Laga won 6-3, 6-1 in 4th singles.  Toscano won 6-2, 6-0 in 6th singles.

The Knights are back in action Mar. 4 at Concordia (3:30 pm).
