FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Queens College men's tennis team picked up its first victory of the 2016 season, topping Niagara 9-0 at the QC Tennis Center.

In doubles, the #1 pairing of Lucas Martinez and Gabriel Mendez picked up an 8-2 victory.  In second doubles, Sharvill Nawghre and Roman Laga picked up an 8-5 win while Ryan Frankel and Federico Toscano won 8-2 in third doubles.

Nawghre won first singles 6-4, 6-4.  Frankel followed in second singles with a three set victory.  Martinez picked up a 6-2, 7-5 win in third singles, while Mendez picked up a 6-1, 6-1 victory.  In fifth singles, Laga won 6-1, 6-0 and Toscano picked up a 6-0, 6-0 victory in sixth singles.

The Knights conclude its early season home stand Wednesday evening against NYU (8:00 pm).
