Volleyball Falls In Four Sets To Stonehill

QUEENS, N.Y. - The Queens College volleyball team dropped a four set match to Stonehill Friday evening in non-conference action.

The Knights came away with a 26-24 victory in the first set.  The Skyhawks answered with a 25-22 win in set two and came away with the set three victory 25-21.  Queens then found itself on the other side of a 26-24 score in the fourth and final set.

For the Knights, senior Arielle DiCocco led the squad with 12 kills.  Senior Xhesi Domi was one of four players to record double digit digs, leading the team with 19 in the contest.

Sophomore Kristen Moore posted 32 assists in the game along with 15 digs.  For Moore, it marked her fourth game of the season with at least 30 assists.

Marykay Nasby led Stonehill with 17 kills while Taylor Stevens registered 40 assists.  Claire Manuszak had a game high 22 digs in the contest.

The Knights are back in action Tuesday, when they travel to NYIT for their East Coast Conference opener.
