Men's Tennis Improves to 7-3 with 9-0 Win Over Dowling

Oakdale, N.Y. - The Queens College men's tennis team improved to 7-3 witha  9-0 win over Dowling on Monday.  The team is 2-1 in East Coast Conference play this season.

Queens opened by sweeping all three doubles matches.  Ryan Frankel and Lucas Martinez won at first doubles, 8-2.  The team of Miguel Bendito and Lin Ochoa didn't drop a game en route to prevailing, 8-0.  Finally, Adam Pizow and Farrukh Edgarov won via forfeit.

 

In singles play, Martinez dropped a set but rebounded to triumph, 7-6, 3-6, 10-5.  Gabriel Mendez, Edgarov and Ochoa all won their matches, 6-0 and 6-0.  Bendito came out ahead, 6-1, 6-0 and Pizow prevailed via forfeit.

 

The Queens College men's tennis team returns to action on April 7, when they face Caldwell in New Jersey.
