Queens College Dance Team Finishes Second & Eighth at National Tournament

Daytona Beach, Fla. - The Queens College dance team, under the auspices of Head Coach, Shawn Garnier, placed second and eighth at the 2015 National Dance Alliance Collegiate National Championships earlier this month in Daytona Beach, Florida.  The Knights finished second in the team performance and eighth in the hip hop category.

The competition was held at the Peabody Auditorium and at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.  Following the events, Coach Garnier offered his thoughts, “We were extremely excited and proud to represent Queens College once again at the national championships,” he continued,. “The team spirit and cooperation of this group of young women make them champions. I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of our team.”  The Team Performance is a combination of  hyper-paced precision dances that are a combination of hip-hop, jazz, funk and pom routines.
