Kelly Ireland Named Queens College Head Dance Coach

FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College Department of Athletics & Recreation has announced of hiring of Kelly Ireland as the new Knights Dance Team Coach. 
 
Ireland comes to Flushing bringing an extensive resume in the world of Dance which includes being a professional dancer with various organizations throughout her career. 
 
She began her career being a professional dancer for the New York Riptide, a professional Lacrosse franchise, and as a Marketing Manager for Ballet Hispanico where she managed the marketing side of the company's presenting venues on tour. 
 
Currently, she is a Dance Teacher with Steffi Nossen School of Dance where she provides enriching creative dance programming for students K-2 in local elementary schools and community centers. 
 
Along with Steffi Nossen School of Dance, She is a professional dancer in Woof Woof the Shadow Pup, an inspiring shadow dance show that illuminates the importance of understanding and acknowledging the emotional life of young children and a Professional Dancer with Chris Ferris & Dancers, a local choreographer based in Queens. 
 
Ireland graduated from Florida State University where she earned a BFA in Dance. 
 
Ireland and the Knights will be holding auditions for the 2023-2024 season on Monday, October. 9 inside Fitzgerald Gymnasium, Room 313 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
