Men's Tennis Pushes Winning Streak to Six with 8-1 Victory Over Southern New Hampshire

Flushing, N.Y. - The Queens College men's tennis team won it's sixth-straight match and improved to 11-3 on the season, with a convincing, 8-1 win over Southern New Hampshire from the outdoor tennis courts on Sunday.  The team is now 11-3 on the season.

 

Queens opened by winning two of three doubles flights.  The combination of Ryan Frankel and Federico Toscano won at second doubles, 8-4.  The final pairing of Sharvill Nawghre and Miguel Bendito won in a tiebreak 9-8 (6).

 

QC won all six singles matches and all in straight sets.  Nawghre won, 6-1, 6-4, at first singles.  Frankel won 4 and 0 and continues his torrid play.  Lucas Martinez prevailed 7-6 (6), 6-1 at third singles.  Toscano took care of the fourth match, 6-4 and 6-3.  Gabriel Mendez prevailed 6-1, 6-0 and Bendito came out on top 1 and 1.

 

The Queens College men's tennis team returns to action on Friday, April 17, when they host St. Thomas Aquinas College.
