Men's Tennis Opens Spring Season with 8-1 Over Post University

Flushing, N.Y. - The Queens College men's tennis team opened its spring season with an 8-1 victory over Post University in a match played at the QC tennis bubble in Flushing.  Interim Head Coach, Somadi Druker earned her first career win.

The Knights swept the singles matches over the Eagles as Christopher Baron won at first singles, 6-2, 7-6.  Gabriel Mendez, Federico Toscano, and Sharvill Nawghre all won in straight sets.  Farrukh Edgarov and Lucas Martinez won in three sets.

QC took two of the three doubles matches as Baron and Martinez won 8-7 and Ryan Frankel and Miguel Bendito came out ahead, 8-2.

The Queens College men's tennis team returns to action on Thursday, February 26, when they host Philadelphia Sciences.  The first serve is slated for 12:30 PM.
