QC Men's Tennis Dominates Dowling, 7-2

Flushing, N.Y. - The Queens College men's tennis team improved to 9-4 with a 7-2 thumping of Dowling in Flushing on Saturday.  Adam Pizow dominated singles play by dropping only one game in his entire match.
 

The teams opened with doubles play, and the Knights took two-of-three matches.  The team of Andre Pellegrino and Christopher Baron were victorious, 8-4.  Also, the combination of Younes Hidass and Pizow won 8-2.

 

In singles play, QC won five-of-six.  Hidass won at first singles, 6-2, 6-4.  Baron was victorious 6-0, 6-2.  Pellegrino came out on top, 6-2 and 6-2.  Kevin Burgess needed three sets but prevailed, 6-4, 3-6, 10-0.  Pizow won 6-0, 6-12, and Howard Wong took a set before falling in three, 4-6, 6-1, 4-10.

 

The QC men's tennis team returns to action on Tuesday, April 8, when they face St. Thomas Aquinas in an East Coast Conference matchup.  The first serve is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
