Queens College Men's Tennis Falls to NYIT in East Coast Conference Final, 5-0

Flushing, N.Y. - One day after pulling an upset in a win over UDC, the Queens College men's tennis team wasn't able to duplicate the win as they fell to NYIT, 5-0, in the East Coast Conference championship game at the outdoor tennis courts in Flushing.  Andre Pellegrino won a set in his singles match before play ended.

The Bears took all three doubles matches to start play, but the combination of Adam Pizow and Howard Wong won a game at third flight.  Also, the team of Pellegrino and Christopher Baron took a game in first doubles.

Queens had some high moments in singles play.  As mentioned, Pellegrino won a set, 6-3 and was ahead, 2-0 in the second set.  Younes Hidass won three games in first singles before play was stopped.  Baron also won three in an unfinished match.

The Queens College men's tennis team finished the season with a 12-8 overall record and a 3-3 conference ledger.  The team defeated three division I opponents on the year.
