Flushing, N.Y. - In a game moved from NYIT to Flushing due to weather concerns, the Queens College men's tennis team fell to NYIT, 8-1, in a match played on Wednesday afternoon. QC is now 8-3 on the season and 0-1 in East Coast Conference action.
QC lost all three doubles matches by scores of 8-0, 8-2 and 8-4. The number one doubles team of Christopher Baron and Andre Pellegrino won four games in their match.
In singles play, Younes Hidass was victorious for the Knights, winning by scores of 7-5, 2-6, 10-4; in a match that lasted nearly two hours. Both Kevin Burgess and Baron won a pair of games in their respective matches.
The QC men's tennis team returns to action on Friday, April 4, when they host Adelphi. The first serve is slated for noon.
