Set three saw the Knights close out the match with a 25-18 win.  The set started similarly to the opening frame, as the two teams were tied at 9-all.  A 10-1 run for Queens gave them a 19-10 advantage.  The run  was keyed by a pair of DiCocco kills and three Else Buchmiller service aces.  At 19-10, Cheney used an 8-1 run to pull within 20-18, for Queens.  From there, five Knights points closed out the match as kills by DiCocco, Angela Kranz and Francesca Indoni accounted for the scoring.

The second match of the day for Queens saw them triumph over Shaw, 3-0.  The scores in those sets were 25-13, 25-7 and 25-10.

The Knights got off to a slow start against the Bears as the two teams exchanged points until the game was tied at 8-8.  From there, a 14-4 Queens runs put them ahead, 22-12.  In that scoring outburst, key points came from kills from DiCocco, Indoni and Steele and a service ace from Indoni, as well.  Shaw scored the next point to pull within 22-13, but the Knights put the set away on an Indoni kill, a Shaw error and an ace from Buchmiller.

The second set saw the Knights dominate from the onset, as they pushed a 17-6 lead.  They went on to take the set, 25-7.  In the second frame, Queens had nine kills and an attacked percentage of .350.

The final set of the match also went to QC, 25-10.  Queens leapt to a 13-5 lead and then relied on the strong serving of Else Buchmiller to close out the match.  With the score at 13-5, the Knights scored nine straight points with Buchmiller serving, including two kills from Bowser, two from DiCocco, one from Kilic and a pair of aces from Buchmiller.  Later in the set, a Indoni kill gave the victory to the Knights.
