Queens, N.Y. - The Queens College men's
tennis team advanced to the NCAA Regionals once again and made it
all the way to the finals before they fell to Concordia, 6-0, on
Monday. The team finishes the season with an overall mark of
12-6.
The team fought hard in doubles competition as the combination
of Nikolaj Wulff and Andre Pellegrino made it all the way to a
tiebreak before losing. The first flight of Younes Hidass and
Christopher Baron won six games before succumbing.
In singles play, Baron took a set against Tomasz Olfams before
there watched was stopped unfinished. Also, Alexander Morris
was leading the second set of his match before play was halted.
Overall, it was a good season for the team as they reached
double-figures in wins and reached the NCAA Regional Final round of
competition.
