DeWitt, N.Y. – The Queens College
men's tennis team shutout Le Moyne, 9-0, in a match played on
Friday in DeWitt, New York. The match was moved from Le
Moyne's campus to a nearby, indoor facility, because of the
weather.
The Knights got out of the gate quickly, sweeping all
three doubles matches. Nikolaj Wulff and Andre Pellegrino
dominated their match, winning 8-2. Younes Hidass and
Christopher Baron were victorious, 8-6; while Alexander Morris and
Adam Pizow triumphed, 8-4.
On the singles side, all six competitors for the Knights
won in straight sets. The highlights came from Morris and
Baron, who won both of their matches without dropping a
game.
With the win, the team improved to 10-3 on the year and
are currently ranked #3 in the region. They close out their
upstate, New York road trip with an East Coast Conference match
with Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
