Queens, N.Y. - While the Queens College
baseball team was battling the elements outside on Saturday, the
tennis team blanked Post University, 9-0, in the comfortable
confines of the tennis bubble on campus in Flushing. The
victory got the Knights back on the winning track after losing to
Concordia on Friday.
QC captured every match in singles and doubles competition, with
the highlight of singles play coming from Andre Pellegrino and
Nikolaj Wulff, who won their matches 6-2, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1,
respectively.
In doubles play, Alexander Morris and Adam Pizow won their match
8-3 and Christopher Baron and Younes Hidass won 8-4.
The QC men's tennis team returns to action on Wednesday,
March 27, when they host East Coast Conference rival, NYIT, at 3:00
PM.
