double-doubles from Arielle DiCocco and Ceren Kilic, the Queens

neither the Knights nor the Bears could get a stranglehold on the
set. With the score tied at 18-18, NYIT scored a pair to take
a 20-18 lead. A block from Francesca Indoni got QC within a
point, 20-19, but the Bears got a point then Mackenzie Hamilton
kept Queens within a point with a kill. NYIT pushed the lead
back to three points, but the Knights got it within one, 23-22, on
another Hamilton kill and an NYIT error. The Bears scored the
next two points to take the set, 25-22.
The Knights responded in the second set by taking a 4-2 lead
early on, as Angela Krantz recorded a service ace and Tori Bowser
and DiCocco combined on a block. Later in the set, the Bears
tied the score at 8-8. From there, the Knights used a 5-0 run
take a commanding lead in the set. The scoring spree came
from kills from Indoni and Hamilton, a pair of errors and a
combined block from Indoni and Kilic. Later in the set, Xhesi
Domi served up an ace to give QC a 20-15 lead. Eventually,
the Knights closed out the set on an Else Buchmiller ace.

and they pushed the lead to five points, 22-17, on a DiCocco kill.
From there, NYIT closed out the set with an 8-1 run.

pulled away for the four-set win. DiCocco earned a
