won in straight sets Friday afternoon, as the Queens College men's
tennis team, ranked No. 37 nationally, ran past St. Thomas Aquinas
by a 9-0 decision.
Jesse
Smith and Taylor Crabill won
by identical 6-love, 6-love scores at No. 5 and 6 singles,
respectively, while 51st-ranked Attila Toth was victorious at the
top of the lineup, 6-1, 6-3 over Antoine Venard. Fabio Minami and Andre
Pellegrino won by an 8-0 score at No. 1 doubles over Nick
Cittadino and Armando Estevez, while Smith and Robby Scheuing
knocked off Lakshya Keshwani and Alex Privalov at No. 3 doubles,
8-1.
Head coach Craig Schwartz's Queens squad is back in action
Saturday afternoon, when it plays host Division I Monmouth
University at 12 noon.
