NYIT came to Flushing and beat Queens College in three games in
the first of two conference meetings between the two schools in
2010. The scores of the games were 25-22, 25-17 and 25-20.
Crystal Gordon's kill helped QC sprint out to a 6-2 lead in
the first game before things tightened up on the scoreboard.
NYIT broke a 14-14 tie with three straight points and never looked
back in recording a 25-22 win.
In game two, the Bears ran off eight consecutive points to open
up a 19-10 lead on their way to an eight point win. QC took a 10-9
lead in game three on a NYIT service error but surrendered the next
six points and never recovered, losing 25-20.
Gordon registered nine kills and Stephanie Schroeder had 22
kills to lead the Knights on the evening.
