Queens College Women's Volleyball took on the #24 ranked Golden Lions of Dowling College on Tuesday October 26th as part of Dig Pink week here at Queens College. These two teams faced off earlier in the year at Dowling. The Knights didn't fair so well losing at Dowling 3-0 and Tuesdays result was more of the same with the Knights dropping three sets to the visiting Golden Lions. With the loss the Knights drop to 7-14 (3-6 ECC) while Dowling improves to 21-1 (7-1 ECC).
#24 Dowling College came out red hot and never looked back however Knights battled with Crystal Gordon leading the way for queens with 8 kills and 9.5 points. Stephanie Schroeder who had 15 assists for the Knights was key in helping Gordon get her 8 kills. Senior Lotoya Edward led a scrambling Knights defense with 10 digs on Dig Pink Night
The Knights want to thank everyone who came out and supported Breast Cancer Research and Dig Pink Night with their generous donations. The Knights return to action on Thursday October 28th when they take on the visiting Concordia Clippers at Fitzgerald Gymnasium at 7 pm.
