NEW HAVEN, CT. – On Monday, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced its third Women's Tennis Weekly Award of the 2026 season, with sophomore
Ela Vasic earning Player of the Week honors for her performances during the week of Sept. 21-28.
Vasic posted a perfect 6-0 record across singles and doubles play as Queens went 3-0 on the week. Vasic opened the week with a No. 2 doubles victory and a No. 1 singles win in the Knights' 7-0 sweep of St. Thomas Aquinas College Tuesday afternoon. Against Chestnut Hill College Wednesday, Vasic helped Queens clinch the doubles point at No. 2 doubles before earning a 6-0, 6-3 straight-set victory over the Griffins' Veronika Lundgren at No. 2 singles. Vasic concluded her week with another perfect performance, earning a No. 2 doubles victory before defeating Lundgren, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 1 singles as Queens completed the series sweep of Chestnut Hill.
