WILMINGTON, DEL. – Wrapping up Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) regular-season play, the Queens College women's tennis team traveled to Wilmington, Delaware, Tuesday afternoon for a matchup against Wilmington University at the Delcastle Tennis Center.
The Knights captured the doubles point before winning four of six singles matches to secure a 5-2 victory over the Wildcats. Junior
Johanne Genestay clinched the match for Queens with a straight-set victory at No. 4 singles.
With the win, Queens improves to 11-1 overall and 11-1 in CACC play. The Knights have clinched a top-two seed for the CACC Postseason Tournament and will await the results of Thomas Jefferson University's final two matches to determine the No. 1 seed.

Queens opened doubles competition by taking an early lead as the No. 1 tandem of senior
Sixtine Goubet and
Lilie Bizouerne posted a 6-2 victory over Elena Camacho and Ines Oliveira.
The Wildcats answered at No. 2 doubles, where sophomore
Ela Vasic and Genestay fell 6-3 to Nia Lewis and Siana MacDonald, evening the doubles competition.
The Knights secured the doubles point at No. 3 as sophomore
Anishka Amalnathan and rookie
Elise Bosmans rallied for a 7-5 victory over Claire Traineau and Anna Marry, giving Queens a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.

Goubet extended the Knights' advantage to 2-0 with a 6-4, 6-1 straight-set victory over MacDonald at No. 1 singles.
Bizouerne followed with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Leandra Schierl at No. 3 singles, putting Queens ahead 3-0.
Wilmington got on the board at No. 5 singles as Amalnathan fell 6-4, 6-2 to Marry, cutting the Knights' lead to 3-1.
Queens clinched the match at No. 4 singles as Genestay defeated Camacho, 6-3, 7-5, securing the Knights' fourth team point.
The Wildcats added another point at No. 6 singles, where rookie
Vilte Vaitkeviciute fell 6-1, 6-4 to Lewis.
Vasic closed out the match at No. 2 singles, rallying after dropping the opening set, 6-4, to Traineau. Vasic responded with a 6-3 second-set victory before completing the comeback with a 10-3 victory in the third-set match tiebreak, earning Queens' fifth point of the afternoon.
