FLUSHING, N.Y. – Splitting squads across two sites Friday, the No. 33 Queens College men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance, earning a pair of 7-0 victories over University of the District of Columbia in East Coast Conference action and Bentley University in non-conference play.
With the double sweep, the Knights improve to 17-2 overall and 4-1 in ECC play.

Competing in Washington, D.C., Queens jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as the Firebirds were unable to field a full lineup.
Needing just one doubles win to secure the point, the No. 2 pair of juniors
Tim Andersson (Linkoping, Sweden) and
Said Akbarov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) cruised to a 6-0 victory over Elouan Queguiner and Ignacio Fernandez.
The No. 1 senior duo of
Lucas Foix Sotos (Javea, Spain) and
Alexis Martin-Gibiard (Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France) followed with a 6-3 win over Ambrose Evamy and Filippo Vatteroni to complete the doubles sweep.
In singles play, Martin-Gibiard rolled to a shutout win at No. 4 before sophomore
Andres Urquiola (Tarija, Bolivia) clinched the match with a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5.
Foix Sotos (No. 1), Akbarov (No. 2), and Andersson (No. 3) each added straight-set victories to finish off the sweep.
Match Two Recap – Queens 7, Bentley 0
Back in Flushing, Queens' second group kept the momentum going with another 7-0 shutout against Bentley.
The No. 1 sophomore pair of
Samuel Linck (Haarlem, Netherlands) and
Ismoil Khayriddinov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) opened play with a 6-4 win over Ansh Chadha and Dante Massetta.
The No. 3 duo of junior
Caleb Brightman (Pawling, N.Y.) and sophomore
London Mosquera (Queens, N.Y.) secured the doubles point with a 6-1 victory over Jairaj Sehwani and Jacob Hartman, before the No. 2 doubles pair of junior
David Cerne (Ljubljana, Slovenia) and sophomore
Pablo Serrano (Cochabamba, Bolivia) completed the sweep with a 6-3 victory over Albert Soukup and Nikolai Pran.
Leading 1-0 entering singles, Linck made a strong debut at the No. 1 position, defeating Massetta 6-3, 6-2 to extend the lead. Cerne followed with a hard-fought 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) win at No. 6 for a 3-0 advantage.
Mosquera clinched the match at No. 5 with a 7-5, 6-2 victory. Brightman added a three-set win at No. 4, while Khayriddinov rallied for a three-set comeback victory at No. 2.
Serrano capped the day with another three-set win at No. 3 to complete the sweep and secure Queens' 17th win of the season.
