COLONIA, N.J. – On Tuesday, Apr. 1 the East Coast Conference announced the second Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Report Sheet of the year, and three Queens College Knights were honored for their performances.
Sophomore sprinter
Diara Guy (Trinidad and Tobago) was named Men's Track Athlete of the Week, while senior
John Ray (Bellerose, N.Y.) and sophomore
Carly Koprowski (Wantagh, N.Y.) were named to the Honor Roll sheet.
Men's Track Athlete of the Week – Diara Guy (Trinidad and Tobago)
In the Knights season opener at The Big Hurt Saturday afternoon Guy placed sixth in the 100m Dash with a career-best time of 10.83 and third in the 200m Dash with a time of 22.56. The 10.83 in the 100m Dash was the fastest time among the ECC.
Honor Roll – John Ray (Bellerose, N.Y.)
In the Knights' season opener at The Big Hurt Saturday afternoon, Ray recorded two first-place finishes as he recorded a time of 4:11.99 in the 1500m and 9:24.90 in the 3000m Run.
In the Knights' season opener at The Big Hurt Saturday afternoon, Koprowski placed third in the 800m Run with a time of 2:26.41 and third in the 1500m Run with a time of 4:54.00.
NEXT MEET
The Knights will head to Newark, DE. on Friday, Apr. 4 as they compete in the Delaware Invitational hosted by the University of Delaware Blue Hens.
