FLUSHING, N.Y. – The 2025 Queens College Softball team season officially gets underway on Saturday, March 8 as the Knights get set for 10 games in THE Spring games in Florida.
The Knights are coming off a 2024 season where they went 18-27 overall and compiled a 10-10 record in East Coast Conference play. The Knights would make their second straight ECC postseason tournament and were one game away from the Championship game.

In the 2025 ECC Softball Preseason Poll, Delmore and her squad have been voted to finish fourth earning 21 points and are slated to make their third straight postseason appearance.
Two-time defending champions St. Thomas Aquinas College have been voted to finish first earning 35 points and five first-place votes. The Mercy University Mavericks have been voted to finish second earning 27 points and one first-place vote.
The Molloy University Lions earned 23 points and have been slotted at third to round out the top four spots of the postseason tournament.
D'Youville University Saints earned 11 points and are tabbed to finish fifth and the College of Staten Island Dolphins earned nine points and placed sixth to round out the poll.

Amy Delmore entering her 12
th year in Flushing has led the Knights to back-to-back postseason tournament appearances and finished the 2024 season with the most wins since the 2015 season when they went on to lift the ECC Championship crown in front of their home crowd in Flushing.

Valeriano who helped the Knights win the 2015 Championship crown earned All-ECC honors and Rookie of the Year under Delmore joins the Knights as the pitching coach.
The 2025 squad consists of 13 student-athletes of which five are seniors, three juniors, five sophomores, and one rookie.
It is a veteran squad that is not short of any playing experience as the Knights return an experienced outfield and left side of the infield that combined to play
While all eyes will be on sophomore utility player
Caylea Campbell (Murrieta, CA.) to lead the way after a stellar rookie year. In her first year Campbell would go on to earn Rookie of the Year and All-ECC Second Team honors as a pitcher. Also, her performances would earn her D2 CCA First Team honors as a utility/pitcher.
Playing in 43 games and earning 41 starts, Campbell recorded a team-high batting average of .416 while notching 52 hits, 17 doubles, five home runs, 36 RBI, earning 18 walks and 17 runs scored. She would tally 12 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI games.
While in the circle, she posted a 12-10 record in 158.1 innings pitched as she recorded 105 strikeouts to go with two shutouts.
Joining Campbell in the circle will be junior
Sam Voskinarian (East Northport, N.Y.) and sophomore transfer
Cheyanne Willoughby (Benalto, Alberta) a transfer from Rosemont College. Willoughby posted a 5-3 record in the circle as she pitched 64.1 innings to go with 46 strikeouts last season.
The catcher role will be split between senior
Riley O'Connor (Maspeth, N.Y.) and sophomore transfer
Shona Willoughby (Benalto, Alberta) who joins her sister Cheyanne in Flushing after a year of playing at Rosemont College.
Last season
Shona Willoughby (Benalto, Alberta) appeared in 23 games earning 20 starts as she recorded a .327 batting average to go with 18 hits, three doubles, 10 RBI, seven runs scored, and three walks in her time at Rosemont College last season.
Junior shortstop
Allie Parascandola (East Quoque, N.Y.) is coming off a sophomore year where she played all 45 games. Last year the East Quoque native recorded 26 hits, 13 runs scored, 13 RBI, and 11 walks with a .228 batting average, all while recording six multi-hit games and four multi-RBI games. This year the junior will split time around the right side of the infield.
A two-time All-ECC honoree at third base, senior
Emma Zumpol (Patchogue, N.Y.) will be looking to build off of an excellent junior year where she recorded a career-best year with a batting average of .288 as she notched 44 hits, eight doubles, 10 RBI and 25 runs scored to go with 12 multi-hit games.
Sophomore transfer
Kadie Cain (Hauppauge, N.Y.) enters her first year in Flushing after a rookie year in Garden City at Adelphi University. Cain who earned All-County honors twice during playing time in high school and was named to Newsday Top 100 List will be looking to make up for lost time with an impressive sophomore year in Flushing.
The lone freshman on the team is
Mia Pineiro (North Babylon, N.Y.) hails from North Babylon High School where she played varsity softball all four years.
The senior duo of center fielder
Amanda Baez (Selden, N.Y.) and right fielder
Caroline Pescatore (North Babylon, N.Y.) lead the outfield squad. Baez who started all 45 games out in center field is coming off a career year as she went on to earn All-ECC Second Team honors. The Selden native recorded a batting average of .314 with 43 hits, 30 runs scored, eight doubles, five home runs, 20 RBI, 12 walks, and five stolen bases. She would also record 11 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games to her junior year resume.
Pescatore appeared in 38 games earning 34 starts as she recorded a .212 batting average notching 22 hits, 13 runs scored, two doubles, 10 RBI, and four walks to go with four multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games.
They will partner up with junior
Brianna Call (Fishkill, N.Y.) who appeared in 40 games earning 39 starts, and sophomore
Sienna Denino (North Babylon, N.Y.) who appeared in 23 games earning 14 starts throughout the year.
