FLUSHING, N.Y. – Ninth-year head coach
Matt Collier and the Queens College men's basketball team have officially unveiled their 2025–26 regular season schedule, coming off a promising 2024–25 campaign.
Last season, the Knights finished with a 13-17 overall record and went 8-8 in East Coast Conference play. This performance earned them the third seed and a spot in the program's first conference semifinal since the 2010–11 season.
The upcoming 2025–26 season features a full 28-game slate, including 12 home games, 14 road contests, and two neutral-site matchups. Among these, Queens College will make their first-ever appearance in the Harlem Renaissance Classic. With a challenging slate ahead, the Knights will have plenty of opportunities to prove their growth and resilience on both the home court and the road.
Of the 17 opponents on the schedule, the Knights will face seven teams that qualified for the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament, and 13 teams that participated in their respective conference postseason tournaments.
The Knights will open the 2025–26 season at the ECC x NE10 Conference Challenge, hosted by the Pace University Setters in Pleasantville, N.Y. Play begins on Friday, November 14, against the Adelphi University Panthers, who finished the 2024 season with a 26-8 record and earned the #2 seed in the NCAA East Regional. Queens will then face the host Setters on Sunday, November 16. Pace went 24-8 last season and was the #4 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Queens returns home for its opener on Wednesday, November 19, against the East Stroudsburg University Warriors, who finished 21-9 and were the #7 seed in the NCAA Atlantic Regional. The Knights then head to the Bronx, on Saturday, November 22, for their first appearance in the Harlem Renaissance Classic, taking on the Lincoln University (PA) Lions at a neutral site hosted by Manhattan College. The Lions ended last season 18-12.
Following the Classic, Queens hosts Adelphi on Tuesday, November 25, to complete the two-game series. The month ends with a road game at Assumption University Greyhounds on Saturday, November 30. Assumption finished 22-10 and won the NCAA East Regional as the #6 seed.
ECC play opens on Friday, December 5, with a road game at Daemen University against the Wildcats, who went 28-1 overall, 16-0 in ECC play, and earned the #1 seed in the NCAA East Regional. The Knights then visit the D'Youville University Saints on Sunday, December 7. The Saints finished 8-17 overall and 6-10 in the ECC.
Queens returns home for three straight in December. The stretch begins Wednesday, December 10, with a non-conference game against the Franklin Pierce University Ravens, who finished 3-26. ECC play resumes Sunday, December 14, against the Roberts Wesleyan University Redhawks, who went 10-17 and 7-9 in conference play, earning the #4 seed in the ECC tournament. The homestand wraps up Wednesday, December 17, with a non-conference rematch against the Setters.
The Knights close out December with two road games. They visit the Georgian Court University Lions on Saturday, December 20, who went 6-21 overall, followed by the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights on Wednesday, December 31. Bridgeport finished 19-13 and earned the #8 seed in the NCAA East Regional tournament.
January begins with a trip to Lincoln (PA) on Saturday, January 3, to complete the two-game series against the Lions. Queens then visits the American International College Yellow Jackets on Wednesday, January 7, who wnet 4-25 overall, followed by an ECC matchup against the Molloy University Lions on Saturday, January 10. Molloy went 10-18 and 6-10 in ECC play, and earned the #6 seed.
The Knights return home for two ECC games the following week, hosting the Daemen Wildcats on Friday, January 16, and D'Youville Saints on Sunday, January 18. Queens then heads to Mercy University on Wednesday, January 21, to face the Mavericks, who finished 7-18 overall and 6-10 in the ECC.
The month continues with a home contest against the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans on Saturday, January 24. The Spartans went 25-10 overall, 13-3 in ECC play, and reached the NCAA East Regional final. The Knights visit the College of Staten Island Dolphins on Wednesday, January 28. CSI finished 12-18 overall, 7-9 in the ECC, and earned the #5 seed. January concludes with a home game against the University of the District of Columbia Firebirds on Saturday, January 31. UDC ended the season 5-20 and 3-13 in ECC play.
The regular season concludes in February with three home games and three road contests. The Knights open the month by hosting Molloy on Wednesday, February 4. They then travel to face the Redhawks on Sunday, February 15. Queens returns home to play Mercy on Wednesday, February 18, followed by a road contest against the Spartans on Sunday, February 22. The Knights host the College of Staten Island on Wednesday, February 25, and close the regular season on the road against the Firebirds on Saturday, February 28.
The ECC postseason tournament begins on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, with the first round hosted by the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. The semifinals take place on Saturday, March 7, and the championship game is scheduled for Sunday, March 8. Both the semifinals and the final will be hosted by the No. 1 seed.
