M/W Outdoor Track & Field Teams Compete in Pratt Invitational Sunday Afternoon

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Continuing their outdoor season the Queens College men's and women's track and field teams competed in back-to-back days as they participated in the Pratt Invitational hosted on the campus of Queens College by Pratt Institute.

Men's Highlights

  1. In the 100m Dash, freshman Kadeem Patterson placed second with a time of 11.73, while freshman Diara Guy placed third with a time of 11.41.
  2. In the 200m Dash, Patterson placed second with a time of 23.91 and Guy taking fourth place with a time of 24.18.
  3. In the 400m Dash, junior Justin Eweka placed second with a time of 54.15, senior Daniel Fuzailof placed third with a time of 54.18, and sophomore Ezequiel Zapata placing fourth with a time of 54.93.
  4. In the 800m Run, senior Muneer Camara placed second with a time of 2:19.29.
  5. In the 1500m Run sophomore Paulo Criollo placed second with a time of 5:23.34.
  6. In the 3000m Run, junior John Ray placed first with a time of 9:12.40 and Criollo placing fourth with a time of 11:16.95.
  7. In the 110m Hurdles, sophomore Damilola Babalola placed first with a time of 17.30.  
  8. In the Long Jump Zack Sow placed second with a mark of 5.57m.
  9. In the Shot Put senior Matthew Castro placed fourth with a mark of 9.20m.

Women's Highlights

  1. In the 100m Dash Queens took four of the first five finishes with senior Khareena Primus placing first with a time of 12.74, senior Mahaillia Spencer placing second with a time of 13.96, senior Hayley Matthews earning fourth place with a time of 14.35 and freshman Kierstin Galloway earning fifth place with a time of 14.41.
  2. In the 200m Dash Primus took her second first place with a time of 26.73, Spencer taking second with a time of 29.02 and Galloway earning third place with a time of 30.27.
  3. In the 400m Dash sophomore Jennifer Salazar placed second with a time of 1:12.11
  4. In the 800m Run, senior Fatima Morrobel earned first place with a time of 2:24.67, while sophomore Rachel Mow earned fourth place with a time of 2:46.63.
  5. In the 1500m Run, sophomore Ashley Rodriguez placed third with a time of 6:25.95, and junior Andrea Rivera placing fourth with a time of 7:17.48.
  6.  In the 3000m Run, sophomore Joy Leong placed first place with a time of 12:56.33.
  7. In the Long Jump freshman Solana Hernandez placed second with a mark of 4.19m.
  8. In the Shot Put, Matthews placed second with a mark of 9.24m, and sophomore Madelyn McMath took third place with a mark of 9.10m.

Up Next

The Knights will now use the week and a half to prepare for the East Coast Conference Championship set to take place on Thursday (May 2) morning in Rochester. First event is set for 9:00 a.m.
