Knights Compete in The Big Hurt Saturday Afternoon

QUEENS, N.Y. – Continuing their outdoor season the Queens College men's and women's track and field teams made the local trip to St. John's University to compete in The Big Hurt Saturday afternoon.
 

Men's Highlights

  1. In the 100m Dash rookie Diara Guy would record a career-best with a time of 11.18 to place second, while fellow rookie Kadeem Patterson placed eighth with a time of 11.44.
  2. In the 200m Dash Patterson placed third with a time of 22.12, while Guy placed fourth with a time of 22.35.
  3. In the 400m Dash junior Justin Eweka placed ninth with a time of 55.53.
  4. In the 800m run, rookie Daniel DeGregori placed first with a time of 2:09.18, while junior Peter Hoffman placed second with a time of 2:16.08, junior Kyle Daniels earned a time of 2:20.57 for a fourth-place finish and senior Muneer Camara placed fifth with a time of 2:21.55.
  5. In the 1500m Run, John Ray placed fourth with a time of 4:20.06., while in the 3000m Run, Ray placed first with a time of 9:36.80.
  6. In the Long Jump Hakeem Griffiths placed second with a mark of 6.21m and fourth in the Triple jump with a mark of 11.78m.

Women's Highlights

  1. In the 100m Dash, senior Hayley Matthews placed ninth with a time of 14.55.
  2. In the 200m Dash, senior Mahaillia Spencer placed second with a time of 27.64.
  3. In the 400m Dash sophomore Jennifer Salazar placed 10th with a time of 1:12.56.
  4. In the 1500m Run, junior Andrea Rivera placed seventh with a time of 6:42.49, while sophomore Ashley Rodriguez earned an eighth-place finish with a time of 7:04.44.
  5. In the 3000m Run, sophomore Joy Leong placed second with a time of 13:02.08.

The Knights return to action on Sunday (Apr. 7) morning as they travel to Kings Point to compete in the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational hosted by USMMA.
