Knights Open Outdoor Track & Field Season Competing in Queensborough Relays

BAYSIDE, N.Y. – The 2024 Outdoor Track & Field season opened on Sunday for the Queens College men's and women's track and field teams on a very chilly and sunny Sunday as the Knights took part in the Queensborough Community College Relays in Bayside.
 

Men's Highlights

  1. In the 10000m Run, John Ray placed first with a time of 34:01.5.
  2. In the 100m Dash Diara Guy earned a time of 11.57 to place second while Damilola Babalola placed third with a time of 11.68 and Kadeem Patterson placed fifth with a time of 11.73.
  3. In the 1500m Run, Daniel DeGregori placed sixth with a time of 4:31.10.
  4. In the Javelin Throw Fabian Tan placed first with a mark of 43.7m, while Matthew Castro placed fourth with a mark of 34.5m.
  5. In the 4x100m Relay, the team of Guy, Babalola, Hakeem Griffiths, and Patterson placed second with a time of 44.15.

Women's Highlights

  1. In the 100m Dash Khareena Primus notched a first place finish with a time of 13.02, while Mahaillia Spencer recorded a time of 13.39 to place second.
  2. In the 1500m Run Rachel Mow placed second with a time of 5:30.21.
  3. In the 400m Dash, Fatima Morrobel set a new career-best as she placed first with a time of 1:02.87.
  4. In the field events, Madelyn McMath placed fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 8.65m and third in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 24.8m.
    1. The 8.65m mark in the Shot Put would be a new career-best for the sophomore.
  5. In the Sprint Medley Relay, the team of Primus, Spencer, Morrobel, and Mow placed first with a time of 4:43.70.
