FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Saturday, Oct. 19 the Queens College women's tennis team earned the #1 seed for the 2024 East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Championship Tournament.
The ECC Tournament will take place in Flushing, N.Y. on the campus of Queens College inside the QC Indoor Tennis Bubble from Friday, Oct. 25 to Saturday, Oct. 26.

(4-1 overall record, 4-1 ECC) earned the #1 seed and a tri-share of the ECC Regular Season Championship winning four ECC matches and held the tiebreaker for their consecutive top seed.
The other three teams:
- #2 seed Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College
- #3 seed Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia
- #4 seed Wildcats of Daemen University
Queens will match up against #4 seed Daemen at noon on Friday. With a victory on Friday, the Knights will look to book a spot in the ECC Final on Saturday against the winner of the Semifinals match between #3 seed Firebirds vs. #2 Spartans at 5:00 p.m.
During the regular season against the three teams competing in the Championship, the Knights earned a 6-1 victory over Daemen on Friday, Oct. 4, would fall in a heartbreaking 3-4 loss to the Firebirds on Saturday, Oct. 12 before closing out the regular season with a 6-1 victory over the Spartans on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Queens is in search of their 10
th ECC title in program history and are looking to clinch the automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Women's Tennis Tournament.
