Outdoor Track & Field Teams Concludes Season at Tom Farrell Classic

FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Saturday (May. 6) morning, the Queens College men's and women's outdoor track and field team concluded their 2023 season competing in the ninth annual Tom Farrell Track & Field Classic hosted by St. John's University in Queens. 
 
Men's Meet Highlights
  1. Doris Desir (Port-au-Prince, Haiti) earned a seventh-place finish in the 100 meters with a time of 11.39.
  2. Competing in his last-ever meet, Njehan Phillip(Brooklyn, N.Y.)  earned 13th place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.18.
  3. Juan Cruz Ladino (Cali, Colombia) competed in the 2000 Steeplechase and placed first with a time of 7:14.74.
  4. The men's 4x100 relay team of  Hakeem Griffiths (Portmore, Jamaica), Albert Wheeler (Mastic, N.Y.), Daniel Fuzailof (Queens, N.Y.), and Desir placed second with a time of 49.75.
  5. While the men's  4x400 relay team of Fuzailof, Myles Jackson (San Juan, Trinidad and Tobago), Phillips, and Valeriy Borkun (White Plains, N.Y.) placed first with a time of 4:20.94.
  6. Matthew Castro (Bayside, N.Y.) placed third in the high jump with a mark of 1.50m.
  7. Ladino placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.21m.
Women's Meet Highlights
  1. Khareena Primus (St. Andrew, Grenada) placed seventh in the 100 meters with a time of 12.68
  2.  Fatima Morrobel (Long Beach, N.Y.) placed eighth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:03.58
  3. Three Knights finished in the top 10 of the 1500 meters led by Rachel Mow (Esopus, N.Y.) seventh place finish with a time of 5:33.49, while Alexis Hall (West River, MD) placed eighth with a time of 5:36.25 and Ashley Rodriguez Perez (Elmhurst, N.Y.) earned 10th place with a time of 6:47.54.
  4. Bianca Hiltz (Southwick, Mass) placed fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.28m.
  5. The women's 4x100 relay team of Mahaillia Spencer, Primus, Hiltz, and Hayley Matthews (Freeport, N.Y.) placed second with a time of 50.59.
  6. Matthews placed third in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.96m, while Zae Jackson (Queens, N.Y.) placed fourth with a mark of 7.93, and Madelyn McMath (Carmel, N.Y.) came in fifth with a throw of 7.46m.
