EAST STROUDSBURG, PA. – The Queens College Indoor track and field team applied the finishing touches to the regular season as they competed in the DeSchriver Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University at the Field House Sunday afternoon.
Meet Highlights
The men's A team of
Daniel Fuzailof (Queens, N.Y.), Hakeem Griffiths (Portmore, Jamaica), Myles Jackson (San Juan, Trinidad, and Tobago), and
Albert Wheeler (Mastic, N.Y.) earned a fourth-place finish in the 4x200 with a time of 1:36.19.
Doris Desir earned a career-best finish in the 55 Meter Dash of 6.91.
In the long jump, Griffiths placed 12
th with a jump of 6.04m, and in the triple jump, the sophomore matched a career-best jump of 13.38m on the afternoon.
While teammate
Zack Sow (Columbus, Ohio) matched a season-best jump of 11.32m in the triple jump set in the Ramapo College meet on January 20.
Graduate student
Njehan Phillip (Brooklyn, N.Y.) set a new benchmark for him to break in the 600-meter run with an eighth-place finish with a time of 1:33.73
Bianca Hiltz (Southwick, Mass) placed fifth in the women's 55 Meter Hurdles with a career-best time of 9.42 overtaking her previous best of 10.03 set on Dec. 8, 2019, in the Knights Indoor Classic.
In the women's high jump, Hiltz placed 13
th with a season-best jump of 10.86m., while just falling short of matching career-best in the long jump as she earned sixth place with a jump of 4.87m.
While
Natalia Cuttler (Islip, N.Y.) placed 12
th in the women's one mile with a season-best time of 6:12.85.
In the 200-meter run,
Khareena Primus (St. Andrew, Grenada) placed fourth with a time of 26.92.
In the women's 800-meter event,
Fatima Morrobel (Long Beach, N.Y.) placed fourth with a time of 2:36.06.
UP NEXT: The Knights will now use the next two weeks to prepare for the East Coast Conference Championship set to take place in Staten Island, N.Y. at Ocean Breeze Complex on February 19.
