Knights Complete Final Tune-Up at Fasttrack National Invitational

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Queens College Indoor track and field team wrapped up their final preparations for the East Coast Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship as the men's side competed in the Fasttrack National Invitational Friday afternoon at the Ocean Breeze Complex. 
 
In a meet of personal best set by three Knights, Hakeem Griffiths (Portmore, Jamaica) got the day started with a personal-best in the 200m event with a time of 23.39, while Daniel Fuzailof (Queens, N.Y.) set a PR time of 24.10 in the same event. 
 
While graduate student Njehan Phillip (Brooklyn, N.Y.) set a career-best in the 400m event with a time of 56.87. 
 
In the 400m Myles Jackson (San Juan, Trinidad, and Tobago) rounded out the race with a time of 51.81 to place 35th
 
Lastly, Valeriy Borkun (White Plains, N.Y.) competed in two events as he completed the 200m with a time of 25.32 before finishing the 400m with a time of 56.02.
 
In the triple jump, Griffiths placed 21st with a jump of 12.42 on the afternoon. 
 
UP NEXT: The Knights will now use the week to prepare for East Coast Conference Championship set to take place in Staten Island, N.Y. at Ocean Breeze Complex on February 19.
