Knights Open Indoor Track & Field Season Friday Afternoon

FLUSHING, N.Y. – The 2023-2024 Queens College men's and women's Indoor Track and field season opened Friday afternoon as the Knights competed in the Wagner College Shootout at Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island as they opened the season competing against local division I schools and few East Coast Conference foe.
 
Men's Highlights
  1. Damilola Babalola earned 18th place in the 60 meter Hurdles with a time of 9.29.
  2. Farid Oumorou placed 27th in the Shot Put with a throw of 10.61m.
  3. Juan Cruz Ladino made his debut in the Triple Jump with a jump of 12.29m.
  4. Doris Desir placed 35th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.25.
  5. Rookie Kadeem Patterson made his debut in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.40.
Women's Highlights
  1. Khareena Primus placed 26th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.03 as she was one of two Division II student-athletes in the top 30.
    1. Primus placed 24th in the 300 meter dash with a time of 42.53.
  2. Fatima Morrobel placed 16th in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:42.77.
  3. Nicole Colombi placed 30th in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:46.09.
  4. Madelyn McMath made her Indoor debut in the Shot Put with a throw of 7.39m and Shot Put with a throw of 7.66m.
Up Next: The Knights will return in 2024 when they compete in the Wagner College Invitational on Friday (Jan. 5) afternoon at the Ocean Breeze Complex.
