STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Queens College Indoor track & field team returned to action as the Knights competed in the Wagner College Invitational Friday afternoon at the Ocean Breeze Complex.
The Knights went up against local Division I schools such as host Wagner College, LIU, NJIT, St. Peters, and Division II schools in East Coast Conference foe St. Thomas Aquinas College and Molloy University.
Meet Highlights
In the men's 500 meters, senior
Myles Jackson (San Juan, Trinidad, and Tobago) was the top division 2 finisher as the senior finished 10
th with a time of 1:07.64.
In the women's 800 Meter run sophomore
Natalia Cuttler (Islip, N.Y.) placed 16
th with a time of 2:45.95.
In the men's 200 Meter Dash, several Knights paced the men's side with
Daniel Fuzailof (Queens, N.Y.) with a 39
th finish with a time of 24:13. While senior
Albert Wheeler (Mastic, N.Y.) placed 46
th with a time of 24.93.
Sophomore
Valeriy Borkun (White Plains, N.Y.) was the next Knight to finish with a time of 25.74 with a 51
st finish.
In the men's long jump, sophomore
Hakeem Griffiths (Portmore, Jamaica) placed 15
th with a jump of 6.26m. while in the triple jump, Griffiths placed in the top 10 with a jump of 13.01m.
Teammate
Naazir Noel (Queens, N.Y.) placed 10
th in the triple jump with a jump of 12.88m.
UP NEXT: The Knights will use the week to prepare for the STAC Invitational on Friday (Jan. 13) afternoon to be held inside the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. The first event is set to start at noon.
